2186 Vent

The advanced design in emergency venting for the 412 Series trailers. The #2186 exceeds the DOT HM183 vent requirements for 9/1/96 and 8/31/98. This vent has a zero release of product during an overturn, and is suitable for low pressure / vacuum applications. Full open settings are 7.5 psi for pressure and 1.0 psi vacuum. Designed for corro-sion resistance to various chemicals, the #2186 uses Hastalloy springs & rods, Viton seals and corrosion resistant body material. Ideal vent for retrofitting to the Clay and Bailey #1890 manhole.



406 DOT Dome

2120 Heavy duty, full opening manhole designed to exceed all DOT regulations for 406 series man-holes. Rated at 36 psig with optional vapor recov-ery (shown in drawing below), “Smart Vent” * and other cover openings available. Unique collar/ cover combination allows secure connection for new installation or easy retrofit to existing collar. Heavy duty aluminum cover and collar with Buna-N gaskets as standard materials. 1607 HM 198 Dome

Designed to exceed DOT HM198 requirements for elevated temperature closures. Heavy duty, full opening manhole features safety cam (ball-in-socket) design, high temperature gasket (rated for 450 o F operating temperature) and a variety of collar heights. Options include aluminum collar and other gasket materials. Special models available for retrofitting to existing collars are available.

  1890 Dome

Heavy duty 18" manhole suitable for oil field service trailers. Tested to 36 PSI and exceeds
DOT 178.345-5 specifications. When installed with the #2186 vent, the products exceed
the DOT 412 requirements. Outstanding safety feature of "Ball in Socket" cam handle
design is standard. Options included Viton cover gaskets, 4" or 7" tall weld-in collars
and Buna N or Viton base gaskets.
